BUZZARD

The Dance Of The Birthday Buzzard

PREMIERE: BRISTOL OLD VIC 23 - 26 September 2009

BUZZARD is a stage show written and performed by Timothy X Atack. It’s a comedy. And then after it’s a comedy, it’s something else.

Tim is a Birthday Buzzard. His job involves donning a huge grumpy bird outfit and trudging into the client’s home on their birthday, in order to criticise their life to date. He does so in verbose, vituperative terms, a true professional, and he’s here tonight to tell you about his work as one of the UK’s 12,300 Buzzards.

Sure, he doesn’t really want to be here. And sure, he’s distracted - this Buzzard has problems of his own. But as events unfold he will find himself telling some bittersweet, intertwining stories, about his clients, about himself, about happiness and unhappiness.

Then he’ll do a little dance, and leave…
